Synopsis

Classic sexual odyssey and social satire following graduate, Benjamin Braddock, as he falls prey to the seductive advances of Mrs Robinson, the frustrated wife of his father’s business partner.  Complications increase when he falls for her daughter, Elaine (Kelly Reilly).  The last two scenes are not to be found in the film.  The play attracted a higher than average press profile due to Kathleen Turner's nude scene.  Jerry Hall took over the lead role from July 2000.

Reviewers' comments on Kelly Reilly:

"... the best performance of the evening comes from Kelly Reilly as Elaine".  "Reilly establishes Elaine as odd, arresting and strange: a conventional girl who suddenly comes out with weird Holly Golightly remarks" - from Michael Billington, The Guardian.

"Matthew Rhys and Kelly Reilly are perfectly fine as Benjamin and Elaine..." - from The Financial Times.

"One person not mentioned too often who I think almost steals the show is Kelly Reilly as Elaine Robinson, daughter of Mrs Robinson and the real love of Benjamin; she brings a great fragile quality to the painfully shy and reserved character, but ... can she scream when it's called for - I was in row E and my ears are still ringing!" - from Robert O'Keefe, London Trip Review, LTG Online.
